I, like many others used to complain and crib about things that i had. I found a saying very true which goes like this, "You don't generally value things which you have. By the time you realize its value they are already gone from you forever". A person who realizes true value of what he has, be it friendship or relationship or anything will be more happier. It is very recently that i learned to appreciate simple things around me and i can say that i am more happier now than before.
I did not have to walk miles to reach a school or college which many young students do though out this world. I was not dependent on the government to pay for my food and school or college fee. I have a beautiful family with whom i can share anything and everything and who never opposed to any of my decisions till date. I have got wonderful friends who had been and continue to be the pillar of strength to me whole time. I did not had to face racial discrimination because of my skin complexion. I do not belong to a place where uncertainty looms each and everyday, where people are not sure if they would return home safe at the end of the day. I am very fortunate not to witness or lose a dear one in communal riots which are carried out at the whims and fancies of political parties just for vote bank. I am not an Indian soldier protecting its border whose morale is constantly hit by the things said by politicians and has to fight against the conspiracies hatched by his own countrymen who support the extremists. I did not had to go on war for years in extreme hostile conditions just because his country wants control over the other's resources. I do not belong to a any of the most volatile middle-east countries where hundreds of people are killed everyday in suicide bombings. I do not belong to any of the African countries where famine is part of life and depend on international organizations for a meal, day in and day out. I am not one of those severely malnourished children who desperately wait for foreign aid. I am not an Indian farmer who is being neglected by the successive governments in providing the minimum facilities. I am not an Indian woman who is at the danger of abused sexually almost at every place and sometimes even by own relatives. I did not live during a period where a fanatic's mad love towards his race and hatred for others led to the destruction this world had never seen before.By writing this, i, in no way say that a person who had not gone through any of the above is lucky, but his situation is way better than millions of people around the world and very fortunate. And i feel i am very fortunate.
The glass should always be seen as half full not half empty. We were fortunate that on the day that we were born, our glass was half full and since then we have been cribbing for not getting enough chances to fill our glasses rest of the way up, absolutely underestimating the content it has so far!!! Well done Pogs, first for realizing this and then for making an effort to let others realize the same through ur blog!! :)

Only one point I want to make is that since u r 4 blogs old now, I would like u to set a bit better context before you start with actual content. Everything else in ur blog, is great!!
